Education

Graduated from Auburn University’s College of Architecture, Design and Construction in Auburn, Alabama—received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design.

Current

Sarah Hummel is a designer and visual communicator with a strong foundation in creative exploration and strategic problem-solving. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Auburn University’s College of Architecture, Design and Construction, where she developed a multidisciplinary approach grounded in research, storytelling, and thoughtful execution.

Her experience spans UI/UX, web, branding, motion, packaging, publication, and print design. Throughout her academic and professional career, she has collaborated with numerous campus organizations to create cohesive branding systems and engaging visual materials, including annual reports, brochures, social media graphics, apparel, postcards, and designs for full-scale events. These experiences strengthened her ability to work across mediums while maintaining clarity and consistency in visual communication.

In addition to client and collaborative work, her independent projects have been published in The Auburn Circle, and her research-driven work is featured in The People’s Graphic Design Archive. She is also a member of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA), the professional association for design, and remains actively engaged with the design community, continually exploring the evolving role of design in culture and communication.

Raised in a small town in Pennsylvania and now based in Cheyenne, Wyoming, Sarah brings a grounded, observant perspective to her work. Living in diverse environments has shaped the way she sees and interprets the world, influencing her passion for photography, time spent outdoors, and love of reading. These experiences continually inspire her design process and visual approach.

Kaleidoscope Student Show

Kaleidoscope showcases student work across disciplines and year levels. Senior capstone project: The Growth Initiative focuses on encouraging and supporting community gardening efforts in major urban areas. The initiative explores the role of design in promoting sustainability, local food systems, and neighborhood engagement.
