Book Jacket Design & Illustration

This project focuses on the conceptual design and illustration of a dust jacket for the hardback edition of Einstein’s Dreams by Alan Lightman. The objective was to develop an original visual concept using self-generated imagery, integrating type and illustration into a cohesive narrative shaped by the novel’s content. Emphasis was placed on visual hierarchy to ensure clarity across individual panels—the front cover, spine, and back—while maintaining a unified design as a whole. The final jacket design reflects the book’s abstract exploration of time, capturing its poetic and philosophical tone through intentional composition, typography, and image-making.
